Dear Shoot for the Horizon Participants,
For the past decade, Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the Southeastern United States have gathered to participate in Shoot for the Horizon. It is an amazing event that enables us all to join together in fellowship and to raise funds for a worthwhile cause. This year, we hoped that we would be able to come together for our 11th year, but unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, that will not be possible. We are heartbroken, and we held off in making this decision with the hope that it would not be necessary. There have been a lot of disappointments this year, but disappointment breeds hope. We hope and pray that our country will emerge from this season stronger and with a renewed determination to work together to heal.
While we cannot physically participate in Shoot for the Horizon, we hope that you will please still consider contributing to the cause. Now, more than ever, the Horizon League needs generous donors to help provide children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in athletic, social and cultural events; develop lasting relationships among their peers, coaches and parents; and show them that they are an important part of their community by creating an environment of inclusion for both the kids and their parents. All donations and money raised will go directly to the Special Needs Development Group Inc., a non-profit public charity under §501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue code, and are tax deductible.
